Ollie Pope out due to injury
England batsman Ollie Pope has been ruled out for up to four month due to shoulder injury. His shoulder was dislocated during 3rd test Pakistan vs England at Southampton. Injury occurred on the fourth day of the match when he try to save a boundary off the Stuart Broad bowling.
He underwent an MRI scan which was reviewed by a consultant. He will go for surgery on injured shoulder in couple of weeks and than do rehabilitation with England medical team.
This is his 2nd injury on this shoulder. Last time he got injured while playing for Surrey last summer. At that time he was out of action for three month and had miss England Ashes campaign. But this time it is possible that he will not miss any test cricket as England next engagement is coming in early 2021 against India and Sri Lanka. Hopefully by that time he will get fully recovered.
Despite bad performance in Pakistan series Pope has been one of England main players as he played match winning innings against South Africa in January. He was also England top scorer in 1st innings 1st test Pakistan vs England.
