Stuart Broad fined for inappropriate language
Stuart Broad Stuart Broad has been fined 15% of his match fee by referee for using inappropriate language in the test against Pakistan, thus becoming the first player to be fined by his father. Stuart Broad father of Chris Broad is match referee in this series. As a result, one demerit point was added against him owing to that being a Level 1 offence. He was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel as article said “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.”
Broad use inappropriate language when Yasir Shah was caught in 46th overs. No formal hearing needed as Broad admitted the offence and accepted the sanction given. Broad now have 3 demerit points in last twenty four months.
